Heading up by road from the hot plains of the Indian subcontinent towards the cooling air of Darjeeling. The tracks of the famous 'Toy Train' are just visible foreground right.
Tea plantations along the zigzag route.
Predominantly cloudy, sometimes the sun shone through to the valley below.
Our devotees (foreground) visit a tea plantation. Sripad Acharyya Maharaj is just visible seated (top).
Not just a tourist attraction, a team of pickers pluck the leaves of the famous Darjeeling tea bushes.
The photographer, trying his hand too.
Darjeeling has a zoo with a variety of animals including tigers and bears.
Back to the town for refreshments. Kamal Krishna Prabhu appreciating a south Indian dosha.
And back to the plains, still more plantations surround Siliguri.
Arriving in time for evening arati at our Siliguri Ashram.
Sripad B.N. Acharyya Maharaj leads the Sri Gaura Arati.
Overflowing with visitors.
After arati, Tulasi parikrama.
Across the road is 'Srivasangan' our new, larger ashram to be opened shortly.

Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, Nabadwip
