Dear brothers and sisters
Please accept my humble dandavat pranams.
All glories to Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj.
All glories to Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj, his Divine Master.
All glories to all Vaisnavas who are serving them exclusively.
All glories to Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, the perfect jewel decorating Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s garland.
We are already for three days in Sree Chaitanya Saraswata Krishnanushilana Sangha of Dum Dum Park, Kolkata waiting for Srila Gurudev Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj’s return from Vrindavan. The Kolkata temple is a convenient stop for pilgrims like ourselves who are going to Sri Nabadwip Dham, the Holy Dham whose glories are sung in all the worlds and described by the pen and heart of Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur in his Sri Nabadwip Dham Mahatmya and Sri Nabadwip Bhava Taranga where he reveals his transcendental visions.
Srimati Sundari Devi Dasi from Mexico translated theses treasures, and in her expressed dedication she says, “Srila Govinda Maharaj mentioned the need to read these two spiritual gems for the benediction of all those who wish to take shelter of the blessed and holy Sri Nabadwip Dham.” But, in spite of such reading, we cannot perceive any of such glories so purely described. We are simply left to take shelter of Srila Gurudev’s sacred feet, for he is the only one who actually perceives the Holy Dham in a proper way.
These two books are compiled in one book, and the Spanish edition is entitled El Tesoro Escondido del Santo Dham, Nabadwip. The preface is composed of Srila Govinda Maharaj’s words where he expresses: “Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur wrote in his Sri Nabadwip Dham Mayatmya that we cannot see what is really here. Here everything is auspicious, but what we see is maya — the illusory energy. However, under this maya cover we may find the actual Nabadwip Dham which is filled with life. We will discover this living Nabadwip Dham through the mercy of Mahaprabhu’s devotees. This is the only way possible, otherwise the dust and everything within our mundane vision is within maya. The real Nabawip Dham lives behind our mundane vision.”
We humbly take shelter at Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj’s sacred feet. The Holy Dham is contained within him and thus we benefit knowing a little bit of his unlimited glories through his devotees.
Srila Gurudev, ki jay!
With affection
