He is spreading poison in the name of Bhagavatam. I shall go and tear up his books!' Inspired one day with such a spirit Mahaprabhu suddenly ran towards that place, but Srivas Pandit, and others perhaps, stopped Him, saying, 'No, no, this won't look good for you.' "

"We were rendering duty in his sick bed, I was also among them, my duty was from 2 o'clock at night to 4 o'clock in the morning. Just before 24 hours of his departure he called for me and asked me to sing a song: Sri Rupa Manjari pada sei mora sampada, this famous song which is supposed to be the highest realisation of any Gaudiya Vaishnava devotee. Then after 24 hours, on the first of January early morning he left the world."

thumbSloka composed by Srila Gurudev, 30th December 2004. As the feast for Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur Prabhupad's tirobhava arrived, His Divine Grace Srila Govinda Maharaj spontaneously composed this sloka in his honour:

Audio: Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur's disappearance festival 2013. Morning class by Sripad B.K. Tyagi Maharaj at our Nabadwip Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math.
"Srila Sridhar Maharaj, after the disappearance of Saraswati Thakur, also composed a short verse: nikhila bhuvana maya ... the theme of which being: May 'Bhakti Siddhanta vani', may Prabhupad's teachings play within our hearts. Once he remarked that on this day Prabhupad became vani, or he assumed form fully as his expression, as his word ... Through the teaching of the guru we find the association of the guru, we find connection with the guru. So, Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math and all of its preaching is basically the expression of this prayer: May the word of Bhakti Siddhanta play within our hearts."

This gave us much joy. For this, Srila Sridhar Maharaj delegated all service responsibility of his Math, preaching and devotees to Govinda Maharaj..."
