WORDS TO LIVE BY:

"We have received that seed from a grand Guru, then it is up to us to plant it nicely. The ball is now in our own court; and whether someone can score a goal or not depends on their own capacity. Capacity comes to us through the process of humility, tolerance, and giving honour to others."

Disappearance of Srila Jayadev Goswami.

Related to this day from previous postings on the Math's websites:
thumbAudio: "Jayadev Goswami, a great devotee poet, was writing a book in Sanskrit about Krishna-lila, inspired by Him. Then he came to a place where Radha Krishna were in their secret union with so many sentiments and feelings coming and going. Krishna is trying His best to pacify Radharani in His favour with so much eagerness that He is about to say that 'I want to serve Your holy feet, please extend them to Me.' Jayadev could not write this. It came before his pen, but he shuddered, 'How can I say that Krishna, the highest God, will pray for the holy feet of Radharani to serve them? I can't!' He stopped there and went to take bath in the Ganges. In the meantime Krishna Himself came in the form of Jayadev himself..."

Audio: Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur's disappearance festival 2013. Morning class by Sripad B.K. Tyagi Maharaj at our Nabadwip Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math.
"Srila Sridhar Maharaj, after the disappearance of Saraswati Thakur, also composed a short verse: nikhila bhuvana maya ... the theme of which being: May 'Bhakti Siddhanta vani', may Prabhupad's teachings play within our hearts. Once he remarked that on this day Prabhupad became vani, or he assumed form fully as his expression, as his word ... Through the teaching of the guru we find the association of the guru, we find connection with the guru. So, Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math and all of its preaching is basically the expression of this prayer: May the word of Bhakti Siddhanta play within our hearts."

This gave us much joy. For this, Srila Sridhar Maharaj delegated all service responsibility of his Math, preaching and devotees to Govinda Maharaj..."
