A Holy Day, Excerpt from Sermons of the Guardian of Devotion, Volume II, Chapter 7 by Srila Bhakti Rakshak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj.
"After returning from Gaya, when Sri Chaitanyadev expressed his Devotional Aspect, He said one day, 'Gadadhar, from your very childhood you are a devotee of Krsna, and My days have been wasted discussing grammar and mundane literature. But you, Gadadhar, My friend — your life is very successful. You have fulfilment of life. From the beginning you are fond of Krsna-nama."

The Lotus feet of Gadadhar Pandit are our sole treasure. Excerpt from 'Divine Guidance'. Chapter Two, 'On the way to Sri Puri-Dham' by Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj.
"Both the feelings of Mahaprabhu and the feelings of Gadadhar Pandit were described in a beautiful sloka by our Srila Guru Maharaj: 'The lotus feet of Gadadhar Pandit are our sole treasure. He resided by the ocean of Vipralambha which was manifest by his life and soul, Lord Gauranga, who took everything from him.'"

Puri Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, Jagannathdev and His Dham. A Special discourse by Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj published in the Jagannathdev's Rathayatra edition 1995 of the Math's periodical, Sri Gaudiya Darshan. (144 K pdf file.)
"In His later pastimes, almost every day Mahaprabhu would go to the ocean and meet with Sri Gadadhar Pandit, and Sri Gadadhar Pandit would sometimes go to Gambhira and read the Srimad Bhagavatam to Mahaprabhu... Mahaprabhu considered every letter of Srimad-Bhagavatam to be a manifestation of Krsna, and when He heard it from Gadadhar Pandit’s lotus mouth He felt so much peace and felt Himself to be fully nourished. Sri Gadadhar Pandit served Mahaprabhu in this way."
'Srinivas Acharyya and the Stolen Books.' In this audio recording, Srila Gurudev, His Divine Grace Srila Govinda Maharaj, touches further on the Pastimes between Srila Gadadhar Pandit and Srinivas Acharyya.

Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj's lecture from 2006 on the occasion of Gadadhar Pandit's appearance day. "We are so fortunate that Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur has told us: 'Gaur Gadadhar is the supreme worshipable Deity in this world.' 'Lotus Eyes -- Lotus Tears: Gadadhar -- Mahaprabhu's Ecstatic Correlative,' an article by Sripad Goswami Maharaj:
'By the divine grace of Srila Sridhar Maharaj, such an astonishing conception was projected on the mirror of my conscious self -- so beautiful, luminous -- it penetrated the layers of dust and ego, covering my heart, providing a momentary glimpse into his conceptual domain.'

'Two Surrendered Souls,' Sripad Akinchan Maharaj reflects on this holy day last year (also available on our local mirror):
'Srila Sridhar Maharaj says: "Gadadhar Pandit represents Radharani's mood, Her nature, Her heart." .... And at the conclusion of 'Heart and Halo,' Srila Sridhar Maharaj says that Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur identified Gadadhar Pandit with Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur. "That was the vision of our Gurudeva. He could see in them the same identity...."'

'The Hidden Chamber of Bhajan.' Sripad Goswami Maharaj recounts Srila Gurudev's response to a suggestion that a deity of Sri Gadadhar join the Mahaprabhu Vijay Vigraha at the Chandan Yatra Mandir in Govinda Kunda:
' "Why was the worship of Gaur Gadadhar not manifested in Mayapur? First one must become qualified about that conception. One must not only understand it theoretically but must have substantial feelings. The worship of Gaur Gadadhar was the deep bhajan of Bhaktivinoda Thakur hidden in his bhajan kutir."

WORDS TO LIVE BY:

"Such understanding gives us consciousness about the divine significance of beauty everywhere, about how, why, and in which way creation is existing and moving under the influence of beauty. Krishna's nature as the all-powerful Supreme Controller is actually understood only by experiencing His beauty. Through His beauty one will best and most fully experience His infinite power. This is the Krishna conception of divinity."
