This magnificent temple houses several Deities, all beautifully dressed and richly ornated.

We made a short stop here and circumambulated the Deities while chanting lively kirtan of the Mahamantra before headed onwards to other sites.

Considering the distance between the holy sites Srila Acharya Maharaj conveniently organised a convoy of autorickshaw to move the devotees around. The Bhishma Mandir is a major tourist attraction.

Pilgrims come here from far-off distances to pay their homage to the great hero Bhishma, the grandfather of the Kurus. Bhisma Dev on the bed of arrows.

Beside the mandir there is a huge murti of Hanuman. Leaving the mandir in sankirtan.

The main hall in the temple has murtis of Lord Krishna, Veda Vyas Rishi and Tulsi Das.

After a full day of visiting holy places around Kurukshetra, our pilgrimage group went onwards to Haridwar and Rishikesh, the final leg of this year's Annual Kartik Pilgrimage.
