Appearance of Srila Sachchidananda Bhakti Vinod Thakur.

thumbAudio. Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur's Appearance Day, 1981. Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaj tells us how Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur by the order of Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur took Gaura Kishor Das Babaji as Gurudev formally, but knowing Bhakti Vinod Thakur was his real guru from the internal consideration. He was filled with Bhakti Vinod Thakur in the spiritual sense. He installed many Maths where the name of the Deities were Vinod Vilas, Vinod Ram, Vinod Ananda, etc. He knew that his attempt to approach Radha Govinda and Mahaprabhu was inconceivable without Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur's intervention. He saw Radharani and Gadadhar in Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur - the highest ideal of Guru Tattva, in Gaura lila, Gadadhar; and in Krishna lila, Radharani. He also told once that if we rise a little higher and look, we shall find Radharani in Gurudev. The source of the grace of the guru is coming from the original source of service, so he used to see Srila Bhakti Vinod Thakur under that light.

Appearance of Sri Vamanadev. Appearance of Srila Jiva Goswami Prabhu.

thumbAudio. Sri Vamanadev and Srila Jiva Goswami Prabhu's Appearance Day 2002. Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Maharaj explains:
"Srila Guru Maharaj (Srila Sridhar Maharaj) mentions that Jiva Goswami was protecting the pure Krishna conception as was given by Sriman Mahaprabhu. Under guidance of Sri Rupa and Sri Sanatan he was protecting everything. Sometimes I feel Srila Guru Maharaj is like Jiva Goswami when he is debating with others. Rupa Goswami Prabhu is not debating so much, he is avoiding. But Guru Maharaj is always in the spirit of Jiva Goswami. And Srila Saraswati Thakur's character was like that - always ready to fight. There is no end of Srila Jiva Goswami's glories."
Srila Govinda Maharaj additionally explains that today is also Vamanadev's appearance day, and that is a great fortune for this world. It is necessary to offer everything to the Lord, and this example was given to us by Bali Maharaj through the Pastimes of Vamanadev.

Sri Radhashtami. Srimati Radharani's appearance at noon. Full fast until noon.

Audio. Sri Radhastami, Vrindavan, 1999. Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj explains that Radhastami is when Lord Krishna the Supreme Personality of Godhead's divine potency Radharani appears in a form for playing with the Lord. Srila Swarup Damodar Goswami said, "For the divine play of the Sweet Absolute, He wants to divide Himself as Power and Powerful, and that is Radha Krishna." When it was manifested we cannot say because it is eternal, it cannot be counted by our time and space theory, it is achintya, inconceivable. Radharani is the divine potency of Lord Krishna and She is giving all the happiness, love and all the affection to everyone for the service of Lord Krishna.

Sri Sri Prapanna-jivanamritam completed 70 years ago today (Lalita-saptami 2013). Srila Bhakti Raksak Sridhar Dev-Goswami writes at the conclusion of the book:
"At the charming new temple of the name Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math, situated on the banks of the holy river Ganga, at Sri Dham Nabadwip, and in the association of the devotees, in the shelter of the lotus feet of the Divine Master and the Supreme Lord Sri Chaitanyadev this work was completed on the Holy Advent Day of Sri Lalita Devi - the seventh day of the bright moon of Bhadra in the year 457 Gaurabda (7th September 1943)."
